With our team of well-established surgical oncologists, cosmesis and rehabilitation are conducted without any compromise to oncological safety. We have been doing all sort of Major/Supra major surgeries includes CRS/HIPEC/Lung surgeries.

Radiation Oncology
Radiation Oncology is a speciality in medicine which deals with the use of high energy photons(X rays) or gamma rays for the treatment of mainly cancer as well as certain benign or non cancerous conditions. The Department of Radiation oncology in Nanjappa Life Care was opened for operation in the month of december 2021. The Department is equipped with advanced radiotherapy technology which is meant for precision delivery of radiation to any cancer site in the body with the goal of tumor control, organ preservation and minimum acute and long term side effects. The set up aims to provide effective cure or disease control in cancer patients and yet have the benefit of a good quality of life after treatment. .It is a state of the art radiotherapy center with modern equipment which caters to the needs of patients from the malnad region. It is a part of a comprehensive cancer care unit which is supported by diagnostics in the form of Radiology, Oncopathology and Nuclear medicine as well as complemented by Departments of Medical and Surgical Oncology. It provides holistic care for every patient not only limiting it to curative Radiotherapy but also catering to the psychosocial and physical rehabilitation aspects . Management of pain , palliation and supportive care are among the pillars of the Department .The Department is a part of a periodic multi disciplinary tumor board which guides the treatment plan of every patient.
The Center treats around 400 patients in a year thus having treated around 1200 patients until now. A majority of these patients comprise the curative treatment of cancer all over the body from head to toe while a sizable number are palliative therapies. Common cancers in India like head and neck, breast, gynecological, gastrointestinal, lung and brain are being attended to in this set up. External beam Radiotherapy has options for 3DCRT,IMRT, IGRT, SBRT/SRT and electron therapy complemented by KV-CBCT image guidance and respiratory gating technology . Brachytherapy services ensure the best of precision and safe delivery of treatment.
The Department is equipped with a vital beam linear accelerator for external beam teletherapy and a Gammamedplus brachytherapy unit.
