Waste Segregation plays a vital role in hospitals. Other than the usual dry and wet waste segregation, hospitals also have to deal with Bio-waste. Our Biomedical Waste Management Department is run and managed as per NABH standards.
Segregation is colour-coded, with Green, Yellow, Red, Blue and White, at the point of waste generation itself. Each department is provided with colour-coded containers. We have tied up with Sushrutha Biomedical Waste Management, run by the local authorities as per the Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB) norms.
This department provides clean linen to patients, maintaining an uncompromising hygienic standard in the process. Patients’ linens are changed daily for the comfort and safety of our patients.
The hospital is self-sufficient with power backup. We have two 500 KVA generators to ensure smooth round-the-clock operations, right from the casualty to operating rooms.
