Our Nephrology & Urology Departmenthas been recognised as the largest kidney care facility in the Malnad Region. We provide diagnostics and clinical treatment for all conditions of the kidneys and the urinary system.
Our Nephrology department’s Dialysis Unit is well equipped with 13 cutting-edge hemodialysis units. We can provide ICU dialysis as well. The unit is also equipped with an RO water treatment plant and a mechanical dialyser reprocessing system.
In addition, we also conduct kidney biopsies and have specialists for vascular access problems, permcath placement, AVF, and AVF salvage.
Nanjappa Multi-Speciality Hospital is the only centre in this region to provide Continuous Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis (CAPD).

Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT)
Continues Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) is a extracorporeal blood purification therapy intended to treat impaired kidney functions through the removal of toxins/inflammatory Mediators for an extended period of time, upto 24 hours a day.
Role of CRRT in Critical Care Nephrology:
- Continues kidney replacement therapy for the critically ill and hemodynamically unstable patients with acute kidney injury
- Extracorporeal therapy for Sepsis or Multi Organ Dysfunction Syndrome
- Treatment for various acute type of poisoning or drug overdoses, as it helps in immediate removal of the poison/drug from the blood
